ABOUT ME

About Laura Almore

I completed undergraduate work at The University of Houston-Downtown. The decision was made to continue studies at University of Houston-Clear Lake where I received Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I interned at a homeless shelter for women and children where I facilitated several groups including Relapse Prevention and Building Better Families. I worked several years at Texas Child and Family Institute in Baytown, TX. I facilitated groups such as and including Anger Management and Women Empowerment groups. I have conducted informal training at The Point Alternative Center. I have conducted group sessions at a shelter for women who experienced domestic violence. I currently serve as an Associate Minister at Temple of Deliverance Church in Stafford, TX.

I consider it an honor to work with those who seek therapy. I’m passionate about my work and seek to help others reach their potential. I approach each client with a level of sensitivity and compassion in an effort to help them reach goals and have a more purposeful life. One of my favorite poems, “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost talks about two distinct paths that confront life’s travelers. We are constantly presented with choices. Just the fact that you are visiting this website demonstrates you are contemplating the path to healing and exploring better ways of being with self and others. I look forward to supporting you through your journey.
